Wing Chun Chi Kung

Wing Chun is an internal Martial Art. Training begins on the inside and prepares the body for the rigors of throwing your hands out with confidence you wont harm yourself.  Training typically begins with Siu Lim Tao (little idea form).  Siu Lim Tao begins the body transformation into a Wing Chun fighter and this training cannot be glossed over.  There are many ways to train the first form.  Even training on one leg to develop balance, leg strength and preparation for kicking.  "The single leg training stance cannot be separated from stance training and plays a vital role in a Wing Chun fighters training.  Built into Wing Chun's Siu Lim Tao is Chi Kung, the slow section is where this vital training is hidden.  Many Wing Chun Schools dont teach or have discarded this vital training.  In addition to Wing Chun Chi Kung I teach a Nai Kung based on animal movements that is incredibly strong.

A little more info about Siu Lim Tao.  As I previously stated, Siu Lim Tao can be trained many ways.  A favorite of mine is to take sections of the form and repeat the movements a set number of time.  As the body relaxes from the repeated movements they become fluid relaxed and faster.  Whipping through the air in a relaxed manner is the goal.

For instance Bong to whipping Tan to Pau Sau to huen sau and repeat on other side is a particular fast whipping sequence, and there are many more located throughout the entire forms.
